Logistics and payments for an ecommerce platform in four countries

An ecommerce logistics and payment platform built from scratch, serving two million requests a day across four markets.

  • 2M requests per day
  • 10x flash-sale traffic absorbed
  • 4 countries, zero-downtime rollout

The problem

The platform needed logistics and payments built from the ground up, capable of absorbing flash-sale traffic spikes and rolling out across four countries at once.

What we built

Java and Spring Boot microservices with REST APIs, integrating third-party logistics and payment providers through API Gateway and Lambda. Kafka carried async event streaming at the core of every transaction flow, with circuit breaking for fault tolerance. Data pipelines fed analytics and recommendation models.

The result

Two million requests a day. The platform absorbed ten times normal traffic during flash sales without degradation, and shipped zero-downtime across four countries simultaneously, with our co-founder leading the engineering effort.
